Canadian Association of Litigation Support Professionals Joins ALSP to Expand Regional Presence in the Canadian Litigation Support Market

CHICAGO (22 October 2008) - The Association of Litigation Support Professionals (ALSP) announces a new collaboration with the Canadian Association of Litigation Support Professionals (CALSP). With a mission to establish global professional standards, ALSP is the only nonprofit organization whose membership represents all sectors of the litigation support industry. As the only not-for-profit litigation support association in Canada, the CALSP board of directors believed that by supporting ALSP and expanding its regional network in Canada, litigation support professionals will benefit from local meetings as well as a global forum and perspective on current and evolving trends.

The CALSP board is excited to contribute to ALSP's growing momentum and being an integral part of building a truly global association. They believe very strongly in the benefits of collaborating with their peers to educate and advocate professional standards for the Canadian litigation support industry. "After extensive discussions with the CALSP board, we realized that working with CALSP and its members to establish Canadian ALSP Chapters will provide ALSP the opportunity to guide litigation support best practices across Canada and further develop our global perspective," said Patricia Appelhans, J.D., ALSP executive director.
